An editorial visual direction for MNTN Research, designed to make complex insights more engaging.

Role: Art Director, Designer
Scope: Art Direction, Visual Identity, Information Design, Figma Library
THE BRIEF

MNTN Research was created to provide in-depth analysis of the streaming television, video, and media landscape. A new visual approach was appropriate. One that was clearly connected to MNTN’s core brand, while making research and data-driven insights more engaging.

THE CONCEPT

The direction builds on MNTN’s existing visual identity, shifting toward a more editorial, information-led approach. Grids and graphs became central visual elements, paired with more pared-back imagery, bold typography, and geometric shapes to give research content a clear, recognizable look without being overwhelming.

The goal was to make research feel less like a wall of information and more like something readers would want to explore.

THE IDENTITY SYSTEM

I established the visual direction and created a Figma library of reusable infographic styles and elements. The library provided a consistent foundation for visualizing data and presenting information across research articles, while giving other designers the flexibility to adapt and expand the system as new content rolled out.
